11:04 PM
It will be sad news for millions of Android users. Some of you may feel disturbed by apps that show up while you’re opening certain apps. In regard to this, you may have installed ad blocking apps in your Smartphone. Unfortunately you are no longer able to enjoy those apps because Google decided to pull them off from the Google Play Store. Adblockplus is one of the leaders in this type of app. The app works by filtering ads from a variety of sites, from Youtube, Facebook, and others. The app also allows you to protect your personal data from being stolen. Apparently the feature that this app violates Google's policies. For once you can’t do anything to the ads showing up on every app since blocking apps are blocked by Google. As a user, you may feel very irritated to be interrupted while running an app.

Google's decision to remove ad-blocking apps from the Play Store is a big step that will affect many Android users. It's not only about the annoyance or feeling uncomfortable when the ads popping up, but some of them are malicious that could threaten your handset and your personal data. Google defended that any app that is not in line with its policies will be taken down from the Google Play Store. Well, even though the ad blocking apps were removed from Android, thankfully we can still find this feature in web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Opera.

Google removed ad-blocking apps

For us free apps hunter, things like this can’t be avoided. It will be found in any kind of service. When you go with the free versions, there will always be restrictions that make you uncomfortable. That Google removed ad-blocking apps, we can just let go and see what would happen next. Adblockplus is not the only major Android app that disappeared from the Android market as AdAway also experienced the same. This app blocks adds using the hosts file.

AdAway recently stated that it received an email stating that the application was removed from the Play Store. The reason is none other than because the app violates Google's policies. AdAway then told customers to find an alternative solution called F-Droid instead of Google Play. Previously users were allowed to install any app as long as it's malware-free. It seems Google has a course change related to the rule. Users can still use ad-blocking apps that they have installed on their Smartphones. Only they will not get new updates from the apps.
